MD Rafiqul Islam is an accomplished printmaker from Mymensingh, Bangladesh, renowned for the precision and conceptual depth of his practice. He holds MFAs in Printmaking from the University of Dhaka and the prestigious Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, where he studied as an ICCR Scholar. Specializing in Intaglio, Islam is also an advocate of non-toxic printmaking methods. His works have been exhibited internationally, including at the Guanlan International Print Biennial in China and the Taiwan International Print Biennial, earning him numerous awards. Currently a lecturer at the Islamic University in Kushtia, Islam continues to inspire through both his practice and teaching.
